No other day like it exists in any other religion and no other day is more misunderstood. Easter is the Independence Day of humanity. Would you like to know how to break free of your past? Are you at a cross in time? Tomorrow is the day to discover how to be free and which path to take. I personally recommend Lakeshore Christian Church in Antioch, Tennessee. However, if you are not fortunate enough to live in Middle Tennessee, find a church that still believes that the Bible is the Word of God and go find out what He has to say. Maranatha - "Our Lord has come."
The difficulty I have living in this world is that I believe God will keep his promises. Actually, that is not the hard part. The truly hard part is that I do not think most people believe God will do what He says He will do. We live in a litigating world. In one fashion or another, people all over the planet think that God can be placated with offerings, stringent behavior patterns or simply by talking their way out of the consequences of His word. Sadly for them, if God is to be believed, He will keep his promises. Happily for me, God will keep His promises.
Centuries ago, events happened that were recorded in the Bible by the people who claim to have witnessed them, lived them or talked with those involved. Thousands of years later, we have those who tell us the events did not actually happen. That’s right, long afterward we have people who know better what happened then those who lived the experience. Think about that the next time you have an incredible story that you know is true. Well, you think is true. We’ll see in a thousand years or so if your story really was true.
There is much in the world about which I am a skeptic. The existence of God is not among them. Ironically, many who express doubt in the reality of a God who created all are believers. They believe in luck, ghosts or magic. In essences, some form of a supernatural world but yet, not in God. They can believe that a charm can magically change their luck. However, a story about three young men saved from the fire by God is beyond their faith level. Here is truth; it is not a question of having faith, all do, but where that faith is placed.
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1
"To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, 'If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'" John 8:31-32
