There are times when I feel like the Children of Israel wandering in the desert. I just seem to walk and walk and walk but never get anywhere. It is during these times that I have to remind myself to look for the blessings of God. It is especially in the wilderness that God comes through yet it is harder to see them because of all that heat and dust and just downright misery. Face it; wastelands are not fun places to be. But take it from a guy who has been in the desert far too many times for his own liking, you have to stop wandering once in a while and take a look around. You will see God. He leaves little trails of manna and quail scattered about and always provides fresh pool of water at just the right moment. So do not forget when you are wondering around in whatever constitutes a desert for you, keep your head up so you do not miss God and His blessings. And don’t forget to pack your sunscreen.
"To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, 'If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'" John 8:31-32
