As Calvin and I walk through the neighborhood on recycle day, I notice the lack of the recyle bins the city provides for citizens to reduce the amount of trash that goes into the landfill. It is not a difficult process; residents have only to place anything on the recycle list in the bin and roll it out to the curb where it is collected. Just regard the photos; our container is filled with the recyclable discards of one month of two people living average lives. If everyone in our community took a few minutes each month to reclaim the materials that can have a second use, there would be far less waste covered over in the landfill.
Life is made up of a collection of little things and we are defined by them. I would encourage people to do the little things of life before they insist others do the big things. By doing so, they will be the ones to accomplish big things.
